CROSSMARK POLICY
INSPIREE: Indonesian Sport Innovation Review participates in Crossmark, a service provided by Crossref, to help readers identify the current and authoritative version of a published article. Crossmark provides a standard way to communicate whether a document is current and whether any post-publication updates (such as corrections or retractions) are available.
.What readers see when clicking the Crossmark logo
- whether the document is current; and/or
- whether updates are available (e.g., corrections, retractions, or other notices).
INSPIREE is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and completeness of the scholarly record. When changes are necessary after publication, the journal will publish and clearly label the relevant update and ensure it is linked to the original article. This policy applies to all content published by INSPIREE where Crossmark is enabled.
Types of Post-Publication Updates
Addendum
Additional information to a previously published article (e.g., additional results or clarifications) that does not invalidate the original conclusions.
Erratum / Corrigendum
A notice of errors in a published article. Erratum refers to errors introduced during the publishing process; Corrigendum refers to author-originated errors. Corrections are issued when the main findings remain reliable.
Retraction
A notice that the article’s findings are no longer reliable due to major error, misconduct, or unethical research practice. The original article remains accessible where possible and is clearly marked as retracted.
Removal
In exceptional cases, an article may be removed when required by legal constraints or serious risk (e.g., defamation, court order, privacy violations). A “tombstone page” will remain with basic bibliographic information and the reason for removal.
Duplicate Publication
A notice issued when an article is accidentally published more than once. The duplicate version will be withdrawn and clearly labeled, and the journal will maintain a transparent record of the action taken.
How INSPIREE Implements Crossmark
- INSPIREE uses Crossmark to communicate document status and post-publication updates when applicable.
- Any correction, retraction, or other update will be linked to the original article and clearly labeled for readers.
- Where feasible, PDFs of updated articles may include a visible notice (e.g., a header note) indicating the update status.
